Privacy Notice

When you complete Diver Account Registration, SeaGist processes your Login Email, date of birth, the applicable Terms and Privacy Notice, and the time you agreed to and acknowledged them. We use this information to confirm that you are eligible for an account and that you control the email address.

Your nationality, residence, current location, invitation status, and IP-derived location do not determine whether you can register.

If you don’t complete Diver Account Registration, your Unprovisioned Identity becomes unusable after 24 hours and is deleted by the next daily cleanup.

You can optionally allow SeaGist to send product news, product updates, and SeaGist offers to your immutable, verified Login Email. This Commercial Email Consent is separate from Legal Acceptance and does not affect necessary account access or security messages. It does not cover partner marketing, research invitations, or surveys.

When you grant Commercial Email Consent, SeaGist records your Diver Account, the exact consent statement and Privacy Notice version you saw, when the grant occurred, and whether it came from registration or Account settings. If you later withdraw or re-grant consent, SeaGist records that change so it can demonstrate the consent state that applied at an earlier time. Consent is the lawful basis for these commercial communications.

You can withdraw Commercial Email Consent at any time through Account Preferences. Service providers that operate SeaGist infrastructure or deliver email may process this information on SeaGist’s behalf. Superseded consent events are retained for five years; the latest event is retained while your Diver Account exists so your current choice remains known.

Google Access is optional. If you choose it, Google processes the authentication request and returns a verified Google Account email and a persistent account identifier. SeaGist uses the verified email only to establish the initial Authentication Identity or find an exact matching Login Email.

SeaGist retains Google’s issuer and raw subject identifier so the same Google Account can return to the same Authentication Identity. OAuth access, refresh, and ID tokens are processed transiently during authentication and are not retained. SeaGist does not import your Google name, photo, contacts, files, or other profile information.
